Clamp-on ultrasonic flow meters, installed and supported in the UKSemiconductor and electronics
Measure process liquids without touching them.
Semiconductor and electronics plants depend on clean, stable liquid supplies. A clamp-on ultrasonic meter reads the flow from outside the pipe, so nothing enters the liquid and no line has to be cut or opened to add a measuring point.

Why measure the flow
A stable process starts with a liquid supply you can see.
Fabs and electronics lines run on cooling water, process liquids and waste streams that all have to keep moving at the right rate. Opening a line to fit a conventional meter means a shutdown, a joint and a risk to a clean system. Reading the flow from the outside avoids all three.
The transducers sit on the pipe wall and measure through it, so the meter never meets the liquid.
Nothing is cut or opened, so a measuring point can be added without draining the line.
There is no paddle or turbine to wear, shed particles or need replacing.
Existing lines gain flow readings one point at a time, with no change to the pipework.
How it works
Sound passes through the pipe wall and the liquid, and the flow is read from it.
Two transducers on the outside of the pipe send ultrasonic pulses through the wall and the liquid. The meter times the pulses to calculate the flow, so the liquid is never touched.
We review the lines.
We look at the pipe sizes, the materials and the lines where a flow reading would help most.
Meters clamp onto the pipe.
Each meter is fitted from outside, with no cutting and no draining.
Readings go where you need them.
RS485 Modbus feeds your own systems, and 4G or LoRaWAN telemetry sends the same readings to the AQUAIOT dashboard.
Alarms reach the right people.
A line whose flow leaves its range raises an email or SMS to the team that owns it.
Where it fits
It suits the liquid lines around a process tool.
The meter reads any liquid line with a pipe size from DN8 to DN100, so one product covers the lines a facilities or process team usually wants to see.
Process cooling water
Confirm each tool gets the cooling flow it needs, from a reading outside the line.
Chiller and heat exchanger loops
Watch the flow around the plant that serves the tools.
Waste water lines
Measure what leaves a tool or a zone, without a meter in the waste stream.
Commissioning and checks
Confirm a line delivers the flow it was designed for before production starts.
Added measuring points
Put a meter on an existing line without a shutdown.
Trends and records
Every reading is stored, so a slow change in flow shows up in the history.
Low-flow alarms
Set a limit on each line and choose who hears when it is crossed.
Not sure where to measure first?
Tell us about the lines and the pipe sizes. We will suggest the points that give you the most information for the fewest meters.
Why AQUAIOT
We plan, install and support the whole system.
The meters come from specialist manufacturing partners. AQUAIOT selects them for your pipework, installs them, connects them and stays with you after go-live.
System review
We look at the lines, the pipe sizes, the materials and the readings your team already uses.
Installation
Meters are clamped on and connected on site, without cutting a pipe.
Dashboard and alarms
We set the limits for each measuring point with you and choose who hears about each one.
Training and support
Your team learns the dashboard, and we support the system for as long as it runs.

Questions
These are the questions process and facilities teams ask first.
Does the meter touch the liquid?
No. The transducers sit on the outside of the pipe wall and measure through it, so there is no wetted part and nothing added to the liquid.
Does a measuring point need a shutdown?
No. The meter clamps onto the outside of the pipe, so nothing is cut and nothing is opened.
Which pipe sizes and materials does it suit?
The AQUAIOT clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter covers DN8 to DN100 on steel, stainless steel, HDPE, cast iron and copper pipe. Tell us about any other pipe material and we will check it with the manufacturer.
How do the readings reach our plant systems?
The meter has an RS485 Modbus output for on-site systems, and sends readings to the AQUAIOT dashboard over 4G or LoRaWAN.
Does this replace the instruments built into our process tools?
No. It is an independent reading taken from outside the pipe, which lets you cross-check a line and add measuring points where the tool has none.
Can we add meters to a line that is already running?
Yes. Because nothing is cut, a meter can be added to a running line.
Speak to an expert
Tell us about your process lines and we will plan the metering.
An AQUAIOT engineer will look at the lines, the pipe sizes and the readings you need, and at who has to hear when a flow changes.
