Wireless water leak detection

Leak sensing with no cabling to run.

Pulling cable through a live building is slow, costly and disruptive. AQUAIOT uses battery-powered wireless sensors that fit in minutes where water actually collects, so you cover risers, plant rooms and tenant floors without trenching, conduit or a shutdown.

Live monitoring. Automatic shut-off.

Cabling is the reason buildings go unprotected.Routing wire to every sensing point is slow and costly, so many at-risk spots end up with no detection at all.
Wiring a live building is disruptive.Trenching, conduit and core drilling mean noise, mess and access into occupied space, which managers and tenants push back on.
The cost is the costliest claim on the book.Insurers pay around 1.8 million pounds per day in escape-of-water claims according to the ABI, much of it in spots a wired retrofit never reached.
Buildings change after the install.A fixed cable run is hard to move when a layout changes, so coverage drifts out of step with where the risk actually sits.
The AQUAIOT Solution

Coverage without a single cable run

Hard-wired detection means routing cable to every sensing point, which is exactly why so many buildings have none. Wireless removes that barrier. AQUAIOT places battery-powered moisture sensors where water collects and reports back over secure, low-power wireless, so a sensor can sit under a tank or behind a riser with nothing to wire in. Battery life runs for years, payloads are encrypted, and firmware updates arrive over the air, so a retrofit stays light long after the install.

Battery sensors, fitted in minutes. Wireless moisture sensors place where water collects, at risers, tank rooms and under appliances, with no cable, conduit or trenching to run through the building.
Years of battery life, secure payloads. Low-power radio gives multi-year battery life, payloads are encrypted end to end, and firmware updates arrive over the air so the fleet stays current.
Retrofit without a shutdown. Because nothing is hard-wired, sensors go into live, occupied buildings without disruption, and the layout can move as the building changes.

How It Works

Three steps from first drop to evidence

Step 01

Detect

AQUAIOT moisture, flow and freeze sensors are deployed at the points water escapes. Every reading is timestamped and logged to the cloud over secure cellular or LoRaWAN telemetry.

Step 02

Alert and isolate

When moisture is sensed or flow goes abnormal, AQUAIOT raises an immediate alert by SMS, email and app, and closes the auto-isolation valve so water is stopped before damage spreads.

Step 03

Record

Every reading, alert and isolation event is captured in exportable, timestamped logs that integrate with CAFM and BMS, so evidence for insurers is ready on demand.

Capabilities

Everything a leak detection programme needs

Purpose-built for estates, facilities and risk teams protecting buildings against escape of water across single or multiple sites.

Moisture sensing at the risk points

Point, rope and tray sensors detect water at first contact under appliances, in plant rooms, risers and tank rooms, before it spreads.

Inline flow analytics

Continuous flow monitoring on the incoming main learns normal use and flags the slow weep or continuous draw a manual check never sees.

Freeze protection

Temperature monitoring on exposed and loft pipework warns before a freeze leads to a burst, so action can be taken in time.

Automatic shut-off

Auto-isolation valves close the supply the moment a moisture or abnormal-flow threshold is crossed, with manual remote override for the duty holder.

Multi-channel alerts with escalation

SMS, email and app alerts with role-based routing, so the right person responds day or night, on a single site or across a portfolio.

Open integration, no lock-in

Connects to BMS, CAFM and SCADA via RS485/Modbus or REST API, with audit-ready exportable records for insurers and owners.

Questions & Answers

Common questions

How does wireless water leak detection work?
Battery-powered moisture sensors sit where water collects and report over secure, low-power radio, so a sensor can go under a tank or behind a riser with no cable to run in.
How long do the batteries last?
Low-power radio gives multi-year battery life, and the dashboard tracks battery state across the fleet so a sensor is replaced before it goes quiet.
Is wireless secure?
Yes. Payloads are encrypted end to end and firmware updates arrive over the air, so the sensor fleet stays current and protected without a site visit.
Can it pair with automatic shut-off?
Yes. A wireless moisture trigger can close a motorised auto-isolation valve and escalate to the duty holder, so detection and prevention work together without cabling.
Is the install disruptive?
No. Sensors are retrofit-friendly and go into live, occupied buildings in minutes, with no trenching, conduit or shutdown, and the layout can move as the building changes.
